Single-origin tea, direct from the village.
"Osmanthus fills your mouth first, then the plum's sourness and sweetness linger after. Bright at first sip, but the tea underneath is full-bodied, not thin."
This blend is built on color as much as taste. Osmanthus brews gold, and this plum-noted Tieguanyin brews gold too, so the two liquors meet instead of competing. Sweet, rounded, and full-bodied, a tea made for the colder months.
Flavor profile
What happens in the cup
Sweet osmanthus up front, joined by the Tieguanyin's sour-plum note underneath. Not two separate scents but one blended, honeyed aroma that lingers in the nose.
Osmanthus fills the mouth first, then the plum's sourness and sweetness follow. Bright and refreshing on entry, but full-bodied underneath. The sourness and sweetness dissolve into the liquor and return as huigan, a sweet aftertaste, on the finish.
Warm amber-gold. Osmanthus and the plum-toned Tieguanyin brew to the same color, so the two liquors blend rather than layer.

How to brew
Full boiling water works well here. The osmanthus and roast in the Tieguanyin base both hold up to it.
